Capacity Development and health systems support
Our capacity development work is focused on supporting transformative change that is guided, led, and sustained by the communities it is designed to benefit. By strengthening public health systems, processes, and service delivery, capacity development plays a key role in improving program implementation and achieving better health outcomes.
Our Capacity Development Work
-

Tribal Disease Investigation (TDI) Training
In Tribal communities, public health professionals are not just investigators—they are community members, relatives, and often the first line of defense in preventing and responding to outbreaks of infections such as syphilis, HIV, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The TDI Learning Pathway is designed to provide foundational education and ongoing support for both new and established disease investigators.

Meaningful Partnership Course
The Raven Collective, Cardea Services and NACCHO built a course designed to enhance understanding and foster effective partnerships with Indigenous communities. This course is designed for anyone looking to build and sustain better working relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and clinics to support health equity and wellness.

The Indigenous Syndemic Pathway is a community-rooted training series designed to equip Community Health Professionals—like Community Health Representatives, Health Aides, Peer Navigators, and Case Managers—with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to respond to the intersecting health challenges impacting our Native communities.
