Health Promotion and community engagement
Health promotion campaigns are designed to engage and empower individuals and communities to adopt healthier behaviors and make informed choices that reduce the risk of illness and improve overall well-being. Our team has led diverse efforts in this space, developing culturally responsive and impactful campaigns across a range of health priorities—including sexual health, HIV, STIs, hepatitis, opioid use, and substance use prevention and treatment.
Our Campaign Work
-
Buzz Off Cousin
At The Raven Collective, we know that the health of our communities is deeply connected to the land, waters, and all living beings. This summer, we partnered with the California Rural Indian Health Board (CRIHB) to launch the Buzz Off Cousin campaign — a culturally tailored public health initiative aimed at preventing mosquito-borne illnesses in Tribal communities across California.
-
PrEP Talk
The Raven Collective helped the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board (SPTHB) (re)launched PrEP Talk—a simple way for Native people to get connected with proven HIV prevention tools. This collaboration raises awareness of HIV PrEP and doxyPEP and makes them easier to access across Native communities.

PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITIES AGAINST MEASLES
Measles is not just a harmless childhood illness — it can lead to serious health complications, lifelong disability, and even death. The good news? We have the tools to prevent it. Vaccines remain one of the most powerful ways we can keep ourselves and our relatives safe, strong, and thriving.
In this campaign we partnered with SPTHB to create a vaccination and measles campaign.
