From Community to Clinic: Uniting Culture, Innovation, and Care to Strengthen Native Health

Co-hosted by the California Rural Indian Health Board and The Raven Collective, this no-cost gathering is supported by the Minority HIV/AIDS Fund through the Indian Health Service HIV, HCV, and STI Program. It is designed as a space where Tribal, IHS, Urban Indian, public health, and community leaders can come together to strengthen Native-led responses to HIV and related syndemics.

  • Over three days, participants will explore:

    • Tribal-led outbreak response and elimination strategies

    • Holistic and culturally grounded sexual health programming

    • Street medicine and youth engagement approaches

    • Partnerships advancing the End of the HIV Epidemic in Indian Country

    • Cross-disciplinary collaboration across community and clinic

    • Cultural activities woven throughout the gathering

    From stories of long-term HCV elimination efforts to conversations about access as prevention, the gathering centers the understanding that sustainable impact happens when innovation is guided by community wisdom and sovereignty.
