Indigenous Syndemic Pathway

The Indigenous Syndemic Pathway is a community-rooted training series designed to equip Community Health Professionals—like Community Health Representatives, Health Aides, Peer Navigators, and Case Managers—with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to respond to the intersecting health challenges impacting our Native communities.

These interconnected health challenges—HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and Substance Use Disorders (SUD)—are not isolated. They are part of a broader web of social, historical, and systemic factors. This training uses an Indigenous lens to understand, navigate, and address these overlapping conditions with dignity, compassion, and cultural strength.

Trainings are delivered in a modular format, either in person or virtually. Each session includes storytelling, skill-building, and opportunities for practice (e.g., mock interviews, case studies, or role play). The curriculum is customizable—we adjust based on your team’s needs and experience level.

If you’re interested in hosting a training, learning more, or finding ways to support this effort—please reach out to Niki Graham.
